labor rates
I've used a lot of manuals over the past 35 years. to be totally ownest all i wanted to do is look up a few spec's before i got to the shop to save a little time, and now i'm commentting on a book that i have yet to read. Typing from experiance. Motors, Mitchel, and chilton are all about dead even with there information. But i think that as far as the labor guide goes chilton is the prefrence for me personaly. But there is room for improvement. This is my guesstament. they get there times from cars that are clean and not driven by a varitey of people. So there is not other related problems that come with the abuse and neglect that the average moreone puts them through. Howed i do ? thank you and have a nice and safe drive. Kerry Stafford ASE. Constance
Published in Paperback by Beech Tree Books (September, 1991)
Average review score:

Constance
Constance is living in one of the new settlements in the new world. She has to go through sickness, death, and many other things. But as the years go by in the colony, she is becoming a woman, and being noticed by the men there. It turns out to be a contest between two men to see which one can get Constance and marry her first. This is very heated competition- read the book to see who wins! This is an excellent book which will teach you about colonial america while you are reading it! Highly reccomended! -An almost 13 year old reader who loves to read!

Dodge, Plymouth, Town and Country 1984-95
This is a thumb's up for a woman. Clear, comprehensive, like an owner's manual on mini-vans. Recommend for the "auto un-educated"

Dodge/Plymouth Performance (Former Title: How to Build the Ultimate Super Street Mopar)
Published in Paperback by Motorbooks International (January, 1992)
Author: Mike Martin
Average review score:

Great Book, too bad it is no longer in print
This is an excellent resource for those few of us that are interested in making Mopars handle as well as modern cars. Much of what is in the book is a little outdated, but there is still a lot of information that is not available anywhere else. I wish SA would publish an updated version (yes, I know there is Chrysler Performance Upgrades, but it does not have the hardcore info in Mike Martin's book). There is no other RWD Mopar book that even mentions autocross, for example. Buy it if you see it!

Dunham-Singletary Genealogy: Descendants of Richard Singletary of Salem, Newbury, and Haverhill, Massachusetts and Deacon John Dunham of Plymouth
Published in Hardcover by Royal Press (November, 1995)
Author: Kenneth Royal Dunham
Average review score:

An interesting history
An interesting history of one of the oldest families in Nova Scotia and the United States. During the Revolutionary War brothers fight for opposite sides and when the war is over the Bristish sympathizers are deported to Nova Scotia where they contribute much to their new country. They also change their name to Durham. The American family remains Singletary, and is an important family throughout the south today as well as Mass. In the American Civil War, Singletarys again fought on both sides.

Historical Sketch of the Brethren Movement
Published in Paperback by Loizeaux Brothers (April, 1999)
Author: Henry A. Ironside
Average review score:

Very useful and interesting
The study of the Brethren is interesting for the background of the development of dispensational theology (as denominated in this movement for the first time). This sketch is also very useful for understanding the men who were "very particular about how they broke bread, but not so particular about how they broke hearts."

Landmark History of the American People
This is a great book to read with your children. The information is presented with an unbiased slant. The black and white pictures are excellent, they really give a feel for the period. A hard back copy would be great.

The Mayflower.
Published in Hardcover by Stein & Day Pub (July, 1974)
Author: Kate. Caffrey
Average review score:

The Right Title?
"The Mayflower" is about as complete an historical compendium as you'll ever want to read on a subject. Thoroughly researched, it's loaded with names, dates, anecdotes, and other trivia--some interesting, some not. And that's where the book bogs a bit: there may be too much data, at least for reading excitement. If the goal is a textbook and fact-based understanding of the matter, look no further. Caffrey's book is the Mayflower encyclopedia. If you're interested in the more recent writing trend toward historically accurate "faction," in which the author inserts more drama to make the reading more pleasurable, you may be disappointed. This book is extremely well written, but a little dry.

Another minor matter is the title. While the ship is the early focus of the book, and Caffrey does return to the question of its final disposition in the last few pages, the meat of the text has little to do with the ship or the great voyage. This is a story about the Pilgrims themselves, of the Plymouth Plantation they founded, and of their Puritan existence and legacy. Any one of these three might have made a more appropriate title for the book.

All in all, "The Mayflower" is a great choice for those interested in learning the truth about America's early history. It left me curious to read more about the other early colonies at Jamestown, Boston, and New York. --Christopher Bonn Jonnes, author of Wake Up Dead.

My People: The Story of Those Christians Sometimes Called Plymouth Brethren
Published in Paperback by Harold Shaw Pub (November, 1995)
Author: Robert H. Baylis
Average review score:

Great synopsis of history of Plymouth Brethren
Having grown up in a New Testament assembly which meets along the lines of the Plymouth Brethren movement, I really enjoyed reading about the history of this group of people who believed in meeting according to New Testament principles rather than that which men have made traditional.

This is an honest account of the movement and includes things many people would rather not have recorded as well as the great things done by those who desire to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. My only desire is that believers today would have the same zeal as those men in the 1800's who desired to follow Christ.
